I knew that when my now-wife and I were planning our wedding that I wanted more than a decorative piece of paper for the ketubah; I wanted art. When I saw the work Gabrielle crafted, I contacted her right away to commission a ketubah. I say commission because I didn’t feel like I was ordering from a warehouse, but with the artist directly to make every aspect custom. The process was straightforward and communication was quick and responsive. When we received the final piece, my jaw nearly hit the ground. PICTURES DO NOT DO IT JUSTICE. The visual depth and bold colors stood out immediately, but what really caught my eye were the individual ‘jewels’ placed along the perimeter and the metallic shimmer of the media she used. Gabrielle included instructions on how to remove the backing with the text for signing, which was very easy to follow. At the ceremony, the ketubah was proudly displayed and definitely got some oohs and ahhs. It’s final hanging place is so that anyone who visits our home can see Gabrielle’s artwork and the covenant between my wife and I.
